Miss. bk {7 days old}

This morning I spent a few hours cuddling with sweet “miss. bk”, as her parents affectionately call her. Not only is she a sweet little girl but she’s beautiful too. She has TONS of black  hair. In fact, she has so much, that I actually felt bad putting a hat on her and covering it up. LOL! And speaking of beautiful, her lashes are gorgeous. I mean really, you just don’t see those kind of lashes on newborns that often. Congrats guys she’s just darling, but then you already knew that. ;) Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

See told ya, so adorable right?

Sweet angel!

These lashes will be breaking hearts for sure!

The whole beautiful family

And this one is for dad!

Homecoming {OpLove Session}

This afternoon I had the pleasure of photographing the “A” family, at the homecoming of their sailor. These sessions are always so emotional and touching. It’s hard to imagine what the families of these soldiers endure and the sacrifices they have to make. That’s why I truly enjoy being able to give back and participate in the organization OpLove. Operation: Love ReUnited is a non-profit, fully volunteer organization that offers professional photography sessions to military families and members who are getting ready to deploy, who are currently deployed, or those who are coming home. You can find out more about the organization by clicking here. Thank you guys for allowing me to be a part of your special day. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

Mine on Monday {12/12/11}

Good Monday morning to you all! Well, we are in the final stretch with only 12 days til Christmas, things have been crazy around here. Sorry I’ve not been the best at blogging these past few weeks. Anyway, here is a very over due Mine on Monday of my oldest going to her second father daughter dance. Enjoy!

The N Family

I had a fun session with the always adorable, M and his parents. If you follow the blog, I am sure that you recognize him. I’ve been photographing him since he was just a few days old. Anyway, today we started our session inside in the hopes of keep him warm and happy but he was actually much happier when we ventured outside in the cold. Go figure! LOL! In any event, doesn’t matter, we got lots of great shots and that’s all that counts. Here’s a little sneak peek. Enjoy!

His tongue totally cracks me up here!

Here, he’s in the famous “crate”. I’ve been photographing him in this since he was a tiny newborn.
This will be such a great way to look back and see how he has grown.

Miss. S {14 days old}

This morning I had fun cuddling sweet Miss. S and playing with her big brother N. What a sweet family these guys are. Big brother N was a great helper and obviously adores his new little sister. Miss. S was such a good girl too. She was asleep for her closeup shots and then woke up and was happy for her family and sibling shots. It worked out so well. Thank you guys for having me. It was great meeting and hanging out with you all. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

It’s a Senior Thing {November 2011}

Hey everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Personally, my holiday was great. Unfortunately my mom and I didn’t get to watch the parade like we usually do. Instead we went to my brother’s football game and supported him! There was so much food, family, and football. I love this time of year. There’s such a special feeling in the air. Every Thanksgiving since I was little I have been going to my grandma’s, and this year was no different. It’s great to have that tradition, always something to look forward to. Now that I’m back in school, I am once again a mess. Of course, projects, homework, and the anxiety of hearing back from colleges is hitting me. But my countdown for Christmas is going to get me through the next month! I was shopping on Friday at midnight and it was crazy! But I was able to start buying gifts for people and it felt great! As much as I enjoy getting gifts, I LOVE buying and giving presents. Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year and now that Thanksgiving has passed, people won’t get as mad at me for blasting my Christmas music! Hopefully I will be able to get everyone amazing gifts without going completely broke. I’ll just have to work a little more, and spend a little less. It’ll be worth it though to see the people I love get gifts they love! I hope the next month isn’t as stressful for everyone else as it will be for me! And fingers crosses that this beautiful weather continues. Although, I could go for a white Christmas this year!

Miss. E {14 months old}

This morning I had a fun session with the adorable Miss. E. We had planned to have an indoor shoot but with this amazing weather we were actually able to do both. Who would have thought the last weekend in November would have been so warm. Go figure! Anyway, thank you guys for a nice morning. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Black Friday SALE

The sale is now over! Hope you all had a great day!

Giving Thanks

Can you believe it, Thanksgiving is upon us already! Man, fall has just flown by. Speaking of things flying by, time sure has a way of doing that. Doesn’t it? The other day we were moving some things around in our room and my baby album somehow managed to get out. As you can imagine the kids were excited to pour over the images, and quite frankly, I wanted to peek at them too. So we did just that, page by page, flipping through the pictures commenting on who looked like who and how mush so and so changed. But then we came across a snapshot of me and my grandparents, which brought me to tears. (No really, I am still tearing up thinking about it now.) You see, I never really knew my grandmother until later in her life. But from the few years we did spend together, I really felt like we were so much alike. I often thought if we had been the same age we would have been good friends. Anyway, I had no idea that I had a photograph of her so when I came across the photo I was so thankful to have a picture, any picture, of her. It now sits framed in my office and brings a smile to my face every time I see it. What’s the moral of this story? Please, please, please, photograph your loved ones. You never know when your time together is going to run out. The holidays are a perfect time to get pictures while the whole family is together. And yes, I know, I am just as guilty, if not more, of NOT taking pictures of my family. But listen, lesson learned, I will be bringing my camera with me this Thanksgiving and I hope you do too! Phew, alright my P.S.A. (Public Service Announcement) is now over. LOL! Hope you and your family have a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving.

P.S. Stay tuned to the blog tomorrow for my – one day only – Black Friday Sale. You won’t want to miss it!
